Ali Larijani said that the government’s disregard for the views of the Majlis is one reason for the high cost of living. Larijani added prices have risen in part due to the hostility of external enemies, but also can be partly attributed to lack of foresight by the relevant (government) officials. He said that this is why the Majlis has repeatedly emphasized that the production sector should be provided with 30% of the revenues generated from the gradual elimination of subsidies or that the subsidy reform plan should be implemented patiently and little by little.
