Some 1,200 women from 80 different countries have begun arriving in Iran to participate in the first Women and Islamic Awakening conference, to take place from July 10-11. During the conference, the women are to visit the cities of Qom, Mashhad, Tehran and Isfahan, where they will see Iran’s achievements in the fields of research, science, politics and society first hand. The objective of the conference is to exchange ideas and hold discussions between women from different countries involved in the Islamic awakening.
