Dr. Mohammad Sharif, political prisoner Zeynab Jalalian’s lawyer, has announced that his client is in a dreadful physical and mental condition, and that her life is in danger because of insufficient proper medical treatment. According to her family, during the meeting with Zeynab, she was in such severe pain she could not even speak. It should be noted that 28-year-old Zeynab was sentenced to death three years ago on charges of terrorism and collaboration with the Kurdish PJAK party, but the High Court then reduced her sentence to life imprisonment.
