Two weeks ago, a joint meeting between 35 Iranian bloggers who support Ahmadinejad took place at the initiative of Ahmad Shariyat and Hamed Patahi. The meeting was to coordinate the involvement and presence of bloggers in the upcoming elections. Several days after this meeting, Ahmad Shariyat, who is responsible for the Voice from the Inside website was arrested, and Hamed Patahi, owner of the Utopiablog was summoned for questioning. This move by the judicial authority against bloggers triggered an extremely sharp and critical response by bloggers who support the President, some of whom sharply and personally attacked the Larijani brothers and demanded Shariyat’s release. In response, the judicial authority ordered the five blogs, including that of Patahi, to be blocked.
