Zahra Sajadi has called forIran to encourage childbirth, stating that former policies encouraging family planning need to be revised. She said thatIranis a country where nuclear scientists have been assassinated by its enemies, and it should therefore increase its population as far as possible in order to increase the number of its scientists and experts. She added that some people think one can become prosperous by restricting childbirth to only one or two children per family, but that “We did not carry out a revolution to achieve prosperity, but to make our country proud.” Among other things she called for an end to the use of the family planning guidelines being taught at Iranian universities.
