International Conference on Resistance, Islamic Awakening and Liberation of Palestine held in Tehran

The conference is organized by the Organization of the Culture and Islamic Communication (CIC) ahead of International Quds (Jerusalem) Day. Iranian officials, ambassadors of Islamic countries and representatives of a number of Palestinian groups will take part in the one-day event. According to the CIC, the aim of the conference is to promote ideas on the influence of the Islamic Awakening on the issue of Palestine and the Intifada (struggle against Israel) as well as other ways of attaining the ultimate goal of liberating Holy Quds, which symbolizes the dignity of the Muslim world. It further aims to use the ideas of experts and university scholars to draw a comprehensive roadmap towards this end. A gathering of non-governmental organizations and Palestine activists will be also held on the sidelines of the event. The conference included a video conference call with Palestinian Prime Minister, Ismail Haniyeh. Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Dr. Jalili, will be one of the featured speakers. Other speakers will include the Hezbollah representative inTehran, the Palestinian ambassador in Iran, the Islamic Jihad representative and the Hamas representative in Iran.
