Chairman of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, Alaeddin Boroujerdi, and the Syrian Vice President held a meeting in the Syrian capital Sunday, ending rumors that Farouk al-Sharaa had defected to Jordan. The meeting between the two sides was held prior to Boroujerdi’s meeting with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
