Ahmadinejad told al-Zahar that the Palestinian issue and the rights of the Palestinian people are always at the top of the Iranian people’s agenda. He expressed his hope that the Palestinians would soon achieve all their rights and live on their own land and in their own homes. He stressed that the Imperialists and enemies of the nations are trying to manage the events in the region while furthering one aim: the rescue the Zionist regime [Israel]. He called on all nations to be alert and counteract these plots. The Majlis Speaker also met with al-Zahar and told him that one of the consequences of the regional revolutions was the global rise in the power of the Islamic resistance and that opposition to Israel is deeply rooted in the struggle of the resistance movement. He added that the liberation of Palestine is the highest priority on the agenda of the Islamic world.
