Commander of the Border Police in the internal security forces, Hussein Zolfaqari, announced that a plot by the Sunni Jundallah [soldiers of Allah] group (the “soldiers of Satan” according to Iran) to carry out terrorist attacks during the Nam Summit in Tehran had been foiled. Zolfaqari said that 12,000 security forces secured the summit through tighter border security. The border police and Intelligence Ministry teams managed to uncover a cell of two Jundallah terrorists planning to carry out a terror attack, and after a chase killed both of them.
