Journalist Fatemeh Kheradmand sentenced to one year in prison

She was charged with “propaganda against the regime through her work with the Ghalame Sabz website.” Kheramand, a journalism major at Tehran Azad University, was a staff member of the Mir Hussein Mousavi presidential election campaign in 2009. Her husband, Masoud Lavasani, is a journalist who was detained in September 2009 after the June 2009 post-elections protest and faces a two-year prison sentence.
