Peugeot and Renault secure initial deal to return to Iran market

An unnamed Iranian official stated that  “A meeting was held between foreign automakers (Peugeot and Renault) and the Minister of Industry, Mining and Commerce. An initial agreement has been reached that will allow foreign automakers to return to Iran. Final negotiations will take place after December and French automakers can resume their activities in Iran once sanctions on Iran’s auto industry are officially lifted.”  The source added that two French car manufacturers Peugeot and Renault “have expressed willingness to return to Iran’s auto market.
