Iran First VP and Lebanese PM sign 4 MOUs designed to expand economic cooperation

First Vice-President Mohammad Reza Rahimi and the Lebanese Prime Minister signed four memoranda of understanding and issued a joint statement to expand economic cooperation. The MoUs were signed after a plenary session of the Iran-Lebanon Preparatory High Cooperation Commission in Beirut. Rahimi said that Tehran and Beirut have agreed on a plan for exporting Iranian natural gas to Lebanon via a land route. Rahimi also met with Secretary General of Hezbollah Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah. The first VP also visited the Maroun al-Ra’as border (with Israel) zone.
