Remains of 57 Iranian soldiers found in Faw Peninsula

An official of the Iraqi Ministry of Human Rights Ministry has said that the remains of 57 Iranian soldiers killed during Iran-Iraq War (1980-1988) were discovered. He said that search parties also discovered the remains of Iraqi soldiers. In 2008, Iran, Iraq and the International Committee of the Red Cross started implementing a joint plan to determine the fate of the MIA’s from that war. Since then the fate of about 2700 missing Iranian soldiers has been decided.
