Tuesday, 15 May 2012

The new e-mail system, which is one of the products of Chapar (messenger) services, was launched in March 2012 under the name Ch Mail and already has 20,000 users. Deputy Secretary of the Supreme Council for Information Dissemination, Saeed Salarian, said that “Following a directive from the Minister of Communications to the head of Central Bank regarding a ban on e-mail services with foreign-based servers such as Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo and MSN for banking transactions, a new email service that operates from secured domestic centers is now ready to provide services to new users… The Chapar e-mail service is free, and there is no need to enter ID information such as national code number or postal code.” Salarian said that it took two years to complete the Chapar services project.
