200 Majlis representatives sign statement criticizing government policies as “anti-production”

Wednesday, 16 May 2012

Majlis members claimed that it is regrettable that in a year declared by the Supreme Leader as the year of national production, the government is implementing policies that actually work against national production in agriculture and food safety. The statement went on to say that the sharp rise in the price of cattle feed caused cattle breeders to incur heavy damages. Furthermore, the continued situation will force the government to import powdered milk, which will lead milk factories to close and increase unemployment. Majlis members claimed that government policies over the past several days were specifically designed to destroy agricultural production and justify unrestrained imports.
