Iran to send satellite into space as round of nuclear talks begins

Mehdi Farahi, Aerospace Industry Organization Director, announced that Iran plans on launching the Fajr (Dawn) satellite into space on May 23, the same day nuclear negotiators from Iran and the 5+1 will meet in Baghdad. The Fajr satellite is a solar-powered reconnaissance satellite. Iran plans to launch the satellite aboard the upgraded Safir one satellite carrier rocket.
