The website, Botia News, ran an article that has since been removed, but reported the unprecedented warning that Qassem Suleimani, Commander of the IRGC Al Quds Force, issued to Hezbollah Chairman Hassan Nasrallah against a possible attack on Israel. The website, which reports news from Kerman province, said that Suleimani warned Nasrallah against any such action in a direct conversation with him. Suleimani told Nasrallah that it is necessary to decisively stop and contain any extreme perspective or position with Hezbollah in Lebanon, and reduce the authority of anyone who believes in preemptive attacks against the Zionist regime. He further explained that capabilities and intent to take long-term action against targets in Eilat should not blind him. Suleimani stressed (quoting the Supreme Leader) that while Hezbollah was victorious in the War of 33 Days (the Second Lebanon War), the victory was not due to superior weaponry, but due to faith and divine intervention. The commander of Al Quds, a close associate of the Supreme Leader, explained that any attack on Israel would make it a victim and expose us (Hezbollah and Iran) to attack, while Israel would benefit from public support and harm us. The idea that Syria can be saved by creating a crisis with Israel is fundamentally flawed. It is useful only as an excuse to justify extreme opinions. He agreed that in order to liberate Al Quds (Jerusalem) is better to awaken the people than use force.
