Shamseddin Husseini said, “USD 36 billion, generated from oil sales, has been deposited in the National Development Fund and would be spent on the economically justified projects and full commissioning of key projects.” He said the fund deposits will rise to USD 50 billion by end of the current Iranian year (March 20 2013) Husseini said that the value of non-oil exports stood at USD 32 billion last year. He touched on the national economic growth rate of about 6% without dependence on oil revenues and based on the latest statistics. He said that the figure stands at 8.10%, taking oil revenues into consideration. The Deputy Minister of Industry, Mines and Commerce said that Iran’s non-oil exports exceeded USD 45 billion last year, and the figure is projected to hit USD 70 billion this year.
