Oil Minister dismisses reports about drop in oil exports

Thursday, 17 May 2012

Iranian Oil Minister Rostam Qassemi denied a report by the International Energy Agency that sales of Iranian oil are down. He stressed, “This is incorrect and there has not been any decrease in our oil exports.” He also answered reporters’ questions regard a report that Iran has stockpiled 30 million barrels of unsold oil in its oil tankers, and said that this, too, is not true and Iranian oil is selling well.
