Over five thousand workers laid off in Kermanshah

Wednesday, 23 May 2012

The unprecedented wave of unemployment in the town of Kangavar was caused by the closing of hundreds of traditional furnace mines used for brick baking, following implementation of the subsidy reform law and increased fuel prices. According to the report, these mines did not receive a budget for discounted fuel, resulting in their closure. According to the unemployed workers, they sent dozens of letters to the province commander but did not receive any response.
