Iranian browsers have been blocked access to fifty news agency websites and news websites. According to conservative website Jahan News, it is unclear whether the denial of access to the sites is the result of technical problems or a decision by the filtering committee. The first official response by the communications company in the Tehran province stated that the problem with access to these sites is due to a malfunction in equipment and that they were only blocked for 90 minutes. At the same time, many Iranian users reported extensive disruptions in the Internet, including low speeds or access to many sites being blocked.
