According to reports from Iranian human rights activists, Habibollah Teymuri, 24, from one of the villages near Bojnurd was arrested on May 2 by security forces. After he was arrested and handcuffed, one of the soldiers shot and killed him. He had been convicted in absentia and sentenced to eight years in prison. The security forces went to a wedding he was attending in order to arrest him. According to eye witnesses, soldiers in civilian dress entered the wedding party and beat the young man very severely. Guests who tried to save him were threatened, and suddenly shots were heard from the handgun of the shoulder who was sitting on the young man’s chest. Habibollah was killed on the spot.
