During an official visit to Kenya, Iranian First Vice President, Mohammad Reza Rahimi, met with Iranian merchants and economic leaders and spoke positively of their economic work there. He emphasized the need to expand cooperation and the volume of commerce and economic exchange between the countries to USD 1 billion annually. In comments on his talks with Kenyan officials, he expressed hope that agreements and memorandums of understanding would be signed between the two countries in order to develop the relationship further.
