Central Bank Governor admits inflation is high in Majlis session

Mahmoud Bahmani also claims that Iran’s economy grew at 5.8%, and if the petroleum sector is left out of the equation, this number increases to 6.9%. According toBahmani,Iranhas managed to produce these numbers despite the sanctions. He admitted that inflation was rising, hitting 22.8% last month. Bahmani stressed, “We agree that 22% inflation is high, but if we face an option of bad, worse and dire, and have attained bad, we are in good shape.”
