Wednesday, 13 June 2012

In his memoirs, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah writes, “It is possible that many will consider it ordinary when I say that I escaped Iraq under extremely difficult circumstances. But I was never arrested outside of one place that might surprise you.Iran! And after the revolutionary victory!” Nasrallah relates how he was arrested in 1982 when he planned to travel toQom. He was arrested in the airport due to his clerical garb and transferred for interrogation. He was held in interrogation for two days and then released. In his book, Nasrallah claims that this was the first and only time he has been arrested. Fars News would like to clarify that when Mir Hossein Mousavi was Prime Minister, there was still no Intelligence Ministry and the party in charge of this area was referred to as “Prime Minister’s Intelligence,” whose officials were dissatisfied with IRGC activity. In order to obtain information about IRGC-related activity, they arrested Nasrallah.
