Ramezan Oladi, Director of Planning and Development with the National Iranian Petrochemical Company predicted that Iran would become the world’s biggest exporter of energy by 2030. The US can in no way be an exporter (then), and the Middle East, spearheaded by Iran will be the most important exporter of energy supplies in the world.” He dismissed Western sanctions against Iran’s energy sector as ineffective.
