Comedian banned from television because of his resemblance to Ahmadinejhad

Iranian Comedian Mahmud Basiri said that he has been banned from television because of his resemblance to the President. He blamed Iranian state- run television and the President’s Office for not getting any comic roles in the past seven years, because of his strong resemblance to the President. Basiri said he had been asked to portray Mr. Ahmadinejad in the President’s campaign films prior the 2009 presidential elections, an offer which he declined.
