Several students and activists who went to provide assistance to earthquake victims released

Over the past several days, several of the students and activists who went to help the camp of earthquake victims in the village of Sarande were released after having been imprisoned at the Intelligence Ministry headquarters. The students and activists were released on bail. According to some of those released, over 100 security personnel arrived during their imprisonment and beat 35 activists, transferring them to the Intelligence headquarters in Tabriz. The remaining prisoners sent an open letter to the head of the judiciary stressing that their presence in the disaster-stricken region was solely to provide assistance to the victims and called on the head of the judiciary to continue providing assistance to earthquake victims.
