Mohammad Fareed, a board member for the Dairy Industry Association, announced the authorities’ approval of milk imports under the supervision of the relevant organizations. He added that as a result, the price of raw milk and dairy products would be balanced. He said thatIranis unable to provide the milk-production quota its people need, according to international standards, and therefore it was decided to permit milk imports, one year after they were forbidden by the Ministry of Agriculture, leading to a rise in dairy prices. In the same context, a senior member of the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade has announced the allocation of EUR 55 million for the import of dried milk as of this week.
