Massive deployment of security forces following traffic accident that killed 26 schoolgirls

Following a devastating traffic accident in which 26 Iranian schoolgirls from the city of Borujen (Kohkiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province), who were in a convoy of Rahian Nour (visiting the scenes of battles on the front line of the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq War, which is a mandatory trip in the education system), a harsh security atmosphere was reported by those in the city, as was  a massive deployment of intelligence and Basij forces across Borujen to prevent possible protests by the bereaved families. The report further reveals that city residents are enraged following the accident, particularly in light of the fact that this was a mandatory lesson for pupils. The families of the victims demonstrated in front of the IRGC Division office in the city. Later on, there was a discussion between the families and IRGC forces. No information about the content of the discussion was disclosed. The Supreme Leader has expressed his condolences on the deaths, and the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee will investigate the road disaster.
