9th of Dey - day of shameful religious despotism

Monday, 31 December 2012

Dissident and imprisoned Reformist politician, Abolfazl Ghadyani, suggested that the 9th of Dey, (December 30, 2009), should be renamed as “the day of shameful religious despotism.” 9th of Dey is the day on which state supporters were mobilized  in support of the regime and which the state has continuously dubbed as the day on which the “sedition” or Green Movement and their “Western and Zionist controllers” were decisively defeated. Fars news cartoonists reflected this line of propaganda in their cartoon ahead of 9th of Dey.
