Concerned US monitoring Iranian activity in Latin America

According to a BBC report, Barack Obama approved legislation ordering the formation of a political and diplomatic strategy to cope with Iranian penetration into Latin America. According to this law, the US Secretary of State must within 180 days submit her plans for fighting what is being called as Iran’s hostile presence and activities in Latin America. A  Javan editorial also refers to this matter and to sanctions in general, claiming that US and Western concerns regarding Iran’s beneficial and friendly ties with Latin American countries have apparently increased, and sanctions have done nothing to alleviate American concerns.
