Monday, 31 December 2012

Political prisoner Mohammad Ali Dadkhah, an attorney and member of the founding committee of the Defenders of Human Rights Center, is being subjected to heavy pressure at Evin Prison to conduct a television interview in which he confesses to all of the charges against him. Dadkhah’s brother voiced heavy concern for his brother’s condition at Evin Prison, saying that he suffers from loss of memory and in his last meeting with his daughter, his statements were confused and illogical. Mohammad Ali Dadkhah had been the attorney of many political activists. Last year, he was sentenced to nine years in prison and ten-year ban on practicing law following his conviction for membership in the Defenders of Human Rights Centers and after having conducted interviews in the foreign media.
