Wednesday, 2 January 2013

Hussein Sobhaninia, a member of the Majlis Presidium, said that the Guardian Council (GC) had upheld the decision of the Majlis deputies on banning the merger of ministries. “Once the GC sends its confirmation of the Majlis bill to the Parliamentary Regulations Department, the Majlis will submit the new law to the government to be implemented. Once it is signed into law, the government is obligated to implement it… Once the legal procedure is finished, the appointment of (Minister of Roads and Urban Development Ali) Nikzad as the Acting Minister of Communication and Information Technology will be illegal.”
