IRIN Commander: No need for presence of foreign forces in the region

Wednesday, 2 January 2013

Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, Navy Commander, said that Iran has repeatedly insisted that with the help of the Persian Gulf countries, it can maintain security in this strategic region and that there is no need for the presence of extra-regional forces in the region. Sayyari praised Iranian experts for their tremendous and unbelievable scientific advancements in defensive fields, especially in producing naval equipment. Sayyari added that Iran “always observe all movements (of foreign forces) in the region around-the-clock, and there is no movement in the region unperceived to us and our navy control systems.”
