First anniversary of death of assassinated nuclear scientist

Wednesday, 9 January 2013

On the first anniversary of the death of Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan (head of the Commerce Division at the Natnaz uranium enrichment site), the Basij commander met with his family. Ahmadi Roshan’s father discussed the work of his son and several of his colleagues, saying that his son slept only three-four hours a day. According to him, most of the information the family has regarding the son’s activities was revealed to them only after his death. Ahmadi Roshan’s father later discussed his son’s political positions against what is referred to as “Fitna 88″ (the protests following the June 2009 elections), adding that his son vehemently opposed those involved in the Fitna and faithfully adhered to the Velayat e-Faqih. Despite his responsibilities at work, he was heavily involved in the 9th of Dei events (when hundreds of thousands of Iranians took to the streets to support the regime following the elections and a renewal of the alliance with the Supreme Leader against the demonstrations).
