Mohammad Kimiai, a journalist who works with reformist newspapers in Qazvin, was arrested by Intelligence Ministry agents who broke into his home, conducted a search and confiscated some of his personal effects. His family was informed of his arrest several days later and following many calls and inquiries. Khimiai suffers from heart disease. Last week, security forces raided the office of pro-reform weekly Hadise Qazvin, with which Kimiai had been working, and detained the publication’s staff, including Editor-in-Chief Rahim Sarkar.
