Javad Odji, CEO of the National Gas Company and Deputy Oil Minister addressed the important natural gas projects in Iran and the intention to store the gas produced in South Pars in separate warehouses in Iran. He also announced the signing of new agreements for export of Iran’s gas. He added that within two years, the volume of gas exports will increase fourfold. He said five new warehouses for gas storage would be set up across Iran. Further, Odji said that support for new export agreements is one of the priorities of his office as part of the construction and operation of gas storage facilities. He continued to say that with the start of gas exports to Pakistan in 2014 and to Iraq in 2012, he felt an urgent need to build storage facilities.
