Monday, 14 January 2013

Ramin Shahiyar, a Baha’i from Eslam, was arrested three months ago and has had only one telephone call with his family since his arrest. Shahiyar was arrested after having been summoned by the Intelligence Ministry in the city. He managed to inform his family that he was being held in Wing 209 of Evin Prison. Since that call, no information has been made available as to his condition. As an extension of his arrest, security forces arrived at his home and seized his personal effects such as a computer and books.
