Iran buys two supertankers from China

The two supertankers, each having the cargo carrying capacity of 2 million barrels of crude, joined the Iranian fleet at the beginning of 2013, and that three other ships were added to the Iranian fleet in recent months. The Atlantis and the Infinity oil tankers, which were bought in recent weeks, were part of a USD 1.2 million agreement between Iran and Chinese shipbuilding companies signed in 2009, under which 12 oil tankers are to be built.
