12,000 foreign students study at Iranian universities

Rasoul Malkefar, Deputy Minister of Science, Research and Technology, said that there are 12,000 foreign students studying at Iranian universities nationwide. He said these students admitted to the Iranian universities attend classes regularly. As per the second five-year economic and development plan, the number of foreign students in Iran should exceed 25,000. He added that expansion of virtual or distance learning could help increase the number of foreign students at Iranian universities.
