Iran plans to start work on two new engines for satellite carrier rockets

Deputy Minister of Science, Research and Technology for Research Affairs, Mohammad Mahdinejad Nouri, said that the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research and Technology had approved two major national projects in the fields of research and technology, which include the design, development and manufacture of engines for satellite carrier rockets. Regarding the new rocket engines, Nouri said that Iranian universities, including Sharif, Amirkabir, Tabriz Allameh Tabatabai, Tarbiat Modarres University and Mashhad’s Ferdowsi University will participate in the five-year project. He referred to another project – setting a paradigm for the governing system – and said it will be devised based on the theories of the Islamic Revolution, the Constitution and the guidelines presented by Khamenei.
