Member of the Board of Directors of the Iranian Auto Parts Manufacturers Association, Mohammad Reza Najafi Manesh, announced that over the past ten months, Iranian auto part exports had plunged 96% to less than USD 2 million. According to Manash, due to the overwhelming problems they face, manufacturers are unable to manufacture parts for export. The manufacturers are forced to pay 28 times more in recent months to obtain raw material from abroad and are finding it difficult to receive bank relief, which has a negative impact on their manufacturing capacity.
