Sale of Buddha statues banned: “Symbol of cultural attack on Iran”

In recent years, Buddha statues could be purchased in various sizes and shapes in craft stores around the city. The Secretary of the Headquarters to Preserve Cultural Heritage announced this weekend that these statues of Buddha are a symbol of the cultural attack and ordered a ban on their sale in stores. According to the report, inspectors are collecting the statues from stores. According to the official, the enemy is trying to distribute its cultural symbols to influence Iranian lifestyle and religious beliefs.
