IRIN to boost presence in international waters

Mohammad Saleh Jokar, a member of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, said that the Iranian Armed Forces have made tactical and technological advances in recent years, and Iran’s Navy is now “a trans-regional maritime power.” On March 21, the 24th fleet of the Iranian Navy (IRIN) docked at the Port of Colombo in Sri Lanka after patrolling Southeast Asia’s Strait of Malacca. Commander of Sri Lanka, Navy Vice Admiral Jayanath Colombage, visited IRIN 24th fleet.
