Way to “logical dialog” still open, on condition West “acts intelligently”

Thursday, 11 April 2013

Ayatollah Sadegh Amoli Larijani, head of the Iranian judiciary, spoke of the nuclear talks with the West and said that Iran had an excellent, strong negotiating team. According to Larijani, the issues raised by Iran are logical and compatible with the principles of the dialog, but he claimed that unfortunately, according to reports reflected in the Western media, the West seems to be uninterested in finding a logical and intelligent solution to the Iranian nuclear issue. He said that the West’s behavior proves that it is interested in increasing the pressure on Iran, while using the talks as an excuse. He explained that the Iranian people will not give up their nuclear rights, and the West would do well not to make the mistake of thinking that sanctions will sway the steadfastness of the Iranian people. He added that the way to logical dialog is still open, and expressed the hope that the Western states would behave intelligently.
