Member of Iran’s nuclear negotiations team and deputy of Saeed Jalili, Ali Bagheri, discussed the last round of talks in Almaty, Almaty 2, and expressed hope that the 5+1 would provide a “constructive, clear and realistic” response and avoid initiating unrealistic discussion that would result in an impasse. Bagheri emphasized that the West itself has already concluded that the Iranian people and nation are serious in insisting on their right to nuclear energy. He stressed, “Lifting all sanctions should be the main goal of talks between Iran and 5+1. This objective could be attained step by step based on full readiness of the other side.
