Majlis member and Former Parliament Speaker and member of the Principlist group known as 2+1, Gholam Ali Hadad Adel, said at a press conference that Iran’s economy and foreign affairs are mutually affecting each other, and claims that if he is elected, his first priority would be the economy and then foreign affairs. In response to a question about subsidy reform and the future government’s position on this matter, Adel said that at the moment, no government would stop cash subsidy payments, but there is no question that a decision will need to be made for the long term. Answering a question about the chances of Hashemi Rafsanjani’s candidacy, he said that if he were Hashemi’s age, he would not run for president.
