Mohammad Khatami calls for release of reformist blogger Mehdi Khazali

Former President Mohammad Khatami called for the release of reformist activist and blogger, Mehdi Khazali, who has been on a hunger strike for over three months. Khatami said that “the detention of Dr. Khazali, who has always been loyal to the Revolution and the Islamic Republic, is regrettable. His criticism was aimed at improving the situation and helping the people and society. Khatami also called on Khazali to end his hunger strike.
