Mellat-e Ma (our nation), a newspaper belonging to the Secretary of the Expediency Council and a presidential hopeful closed due to financial problems. Mellat-e Ma was part of Rezaee’s presidential bid. ILNA reported that the daily was suspended in March 2013, but it was due to be republished in May under a different name. The managing director of the paper was Amir Hussein Marvi. The daily’s permit was issued in the name of Abdol Hossein Rouholamini, a close ally of Rezaee and the father of the late Mohsen Rouholamini who died in Kahrizak Detention Center during the 2009 post-election unrest.
